Technology Integration Support
Hopkins County employs a Digital Learning Coach who provides on-site and on-demand assistance for teachers to create different forms of learning and teaching with the help of technologies.
The DLC seeks to improve student learning by showing teachers the applications and best practices of these new tools. Indications show that this type of assistance is more effective in helping teachers incorporate technology into teaching and learning than any other form of professional development.
Melissa Taylor is a K-12 DLC. Melissa was hired in the late fall of 2010 to help train teachers and assist with smart classroom equipment going into the classrooms. Melissa also assists with classroom set-ups district-wide as well as assists in the technician role as needed.
