School-wide, we teach using research-based reading and math. Due to this, the children in K-5th grade have homework every night in reading & math. This is to practice what they have learned that day.
Each child has a take-home Success for All Reading folder (this has been researched through Johns Hopkins University). This will have the story your child is reading in it. Please have your child read their story to you and sign the Read and Respond paper in the folder so that we can see that they have practiced.
Each child has a Math workbook that will have a page assigned that goes with the math unit they have been working on.
Spelling tests are given each Friday too. Hope this will be of help to you. Remember Practice makes perfect!!!!
