Community Service

  •  Feed the Fur Babies

    March 3rd - 11th

The Grapevine Cool Cats club are kicking off their annual community service project. This year the title has changed (formerly Pennies for the Pound), but the goal remains the same: Help the Hopkins County Humane Society keep our community animals protected, fed, and loved.

Recently the Cool Cats, with Ms. Vicki and Ms. Arnett visited the HCHS to learn about the needs of the center. Student interviewers found the shelter needs the following:

    • toys (no rope toys please as they are dangerous for the pets)
    • blankets
    • food (any kind)
    • litter (only the paper kind - can be found at Rural King)
    • Laundry Detergent
    • Cleaning supplies (paper towels, dish soap, sanitizers)
    • Stainless steel feeding bowls

Details about the "fur"raiser will be sent with students on Monday, March 3rd. Please make note of the requirements from the HCBOE: when sending in donations, please include the appropriate paperwork (in parent information pack).
