Hopkins County Schools has been approved to use Non-Traditional Instructional Days when we have missed an excessive number of days because of bad weather or other reasons.
In Hopkins County, these Non-Traditional Instructional Days will be known as SKILLS days – Still Keeping It about Learning Lessons with Students. SKILLS days are intended to help students continue learning when school can’t be in session.
Students in kindergarten through 8th grade will use Study Island to complete their assignments online. High school students will use Study Island for their core classes, but will have specific instructions for other classes. (Please see below.)
Upon return to school, computer access will be provided for students who were unable to access the materials at home. If you have questions, please contact your child’s teacher or school principal.
