SKILLS Days - Frequently Asked Questions
How will I know when it’s a SKILLS day?
The “all-call” announcement will be different. You will hear a different voice on the call, and the first thing they will tell you is that this will be a SKILLS day in Hopkins County. We will also post this information on our website and social media sites, as well as share it with local media.
Will the first snow day be a SKILLS day?
Not necessarily. Many factors must be considered before determining whether or not we will use a SKILLS day.
What if we don’t have internet access?
Students have up to five days to complete the SKILLS day assignment(s) after a SKILLS day. Each school will work with the students upon their return so they will be able to complete the assignment(s).
What if my child needs help with the assignment?
Teachers are expected to be available to help on SKILLS days via the internet or telephone between 12 p.m.-2 p.m.
What if my child is sick that day or can’t complete the packet for another reason?
Students will have five days from the day they return to school to submit the completed assignment.
