My name is Matt Beshear and I was born and raised in Madisonville, Kentucky. I attended Madisonville North Hopkins High School where I played basketball for the "Maroons." After graduation I attended the University of Kentucky where I received my B.A. in Kinesiology and Health Promotion. I recieved my Master of Arts in School Administration from the University of the Cumberlands in 2010.

     I am currently entering my 16th year in education.   This is my 8th year teaching at MNHHS. Prior to teaching at MNHHS, I spent the first 8 years of my career at Hanson Elementary, teaching PE.  In addition I am entering my 8th year as the head boys basketball coach at MNHHS.   My wife, Kilee who is also a graduate of MNHHS and the University of Kentucky teaches 8th grade math at South Hopkins Middle School. Along with our daughters- Kennedy (7) and Kate (3) we reside in Madisonville, KY.
