  • All About Ms. Arnett

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year and THANK YOU for visiting my 4th grade and 5th grade resource site. My name is Bridget Arnett, Ms. Arnett, as the students call me. This is my 10th year teaching! A whole decade!

I graduated from Madisonville Community College where I earned an Associate in Arts degree. I then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Murray State University. Next, I earned a Master of Arts in Education degree with a certification in Reading & Writing (MY FAVORITE THINGS!!!).

Before becoming an elementary school special education teacher, I spent many years as a court reporter. I earned this career certification in my home state of Oklahoma (Oooooooooo! Uuuuuuu! Sooners!) at Oklahoma College of Court Reporting in Clinton, Oklahoma. I left Oklahoma to take a court reporting position in Nashville. Next to teaching, it is probably one of the coolest jobs out there! I also taught adult education at the Court Reporting Institute of Tennessee as the youngest teacher in their history.

As my children (I have 4) became involved in more and more activities, I realized I needed to be a stay-at-home mom so they could "do their thing!" I took classes around their schedules until one day...ta-da! I had earned my degree and started this journey of learning, laughter, and love.

I cannot wait to begin the year and watch my students climb to the top!
