Welcome Letter - Marty D. Cook
Families, Students, and Members of the Community,
When you walk through the doors at HCCHS, we want you to know this an institution of learning and of order. We also understand that having fun is a vital part of human development. There is an ample opportunity for that here as well. We pride ourselves on being your, "Home Away From Home." This is OUR HOUSE. We want it to be your house too.
I am honored to be one of Central's assistant principals. My wife and I graduated form South Hopkins High School and were raised in this area. Tandy is an Case Manager / RN/B with Baptist Health Madsonville. She keeps me humble and on task. Our children, Thomas and his wife Laura, Katherine (Katii), and Darlene (Dani) and her husband Jake graduated from Central in 2005, 2007, 2010, and 2011. My grandson, Oliver, loves to talk about "big daddy's" tractor and chickens when he visits. It is my greatest expectation that he will be a member of the HCCHS Storm student body when he enters high school.
With that being said, my children are part of the Storm family and so to are yours. As part of the HCCHS community, all students are expected to put forth their best efforts in academics, athletics, and behavior. When they enroll at Hopkins County Central High School, your children become our children. When they succeed, we praise them. When they fail, we attempt to help them do better. However, when it is warranted, we will attempt to correct them. Our vision is for all of our students to DREAM BIG, WORK HARD, and ACHIEVE SUCCESS.
If you have questions or concerns relating to your child please do not hesitate in contacting me at 270-825-6133 ex. 51002. My school e-mail address is email@example.com.
