Hello and welcome!
So... a little bit about me. I am the last of six children born to the most wonderful parents ever. Of course, I didn't quite realize how wonderful they were until I was older. One of my mother's most famous quotes was a reply to a question I often asked her when I was a little girl. The question... "Mama, are you my friend?" Her response..."No, I am your mother." Those words truly resonate with me and I am forever grateful that I had a mother who took her role in life so seriously. Parents who are reading this, please know that I take my job as teacher seriously as well. I will love and treat your children as I do my own. I absolutely love my job and really feel guilty at times that I get paid to do what I do. Blessed I am to love what I do each day!
I graduated from South Hopkins High School in 1991. At Western Kentucky University I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees; my Rank I was obtained from Indiana Wesleyan.
I completed my student teaching at James Madison in the spring of 1995 and was employed as an 8th grade teacher in the fall...and here I happily remain.
Please feel free to call or email me with any questions or concerns.
Amy O. Belcher
