My Home Page - Meet Mrs. Zimmer!
Hello, my name is Ashlee Zimmer. This is my tenth year teaching at Jesse Stuart Elementary. I have had the pleasure of teaching first, second, and third grade. I have to say that third grade is my favorite!
I graduated from Western Kentucky University in May 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and I completed my Rank II at Murray State University in 2005. I received my Rank I in 2006 and became Hopkins County's second Nationally Board Certified Teacher. I now serve as a mentor to other teachers who are seeking National Certification.
This year I am a member of the Jesse Stuart Curriculum Committee and I am the textbook coordinator for our school. I am also the coach for the third grade math team!
I am originally from Madisonville and have many family roots here in town. I attended elementary, middle, and high school in Madisonville. I met my husband in college and we were married on October 11, 2003. We have one son named Brayden who is three years old and I am expecting a baby girl in December!!!
My husband, Mike, is a teacher at Hopkins County Central High School. He is the technology resource teacher and is the head coach for the girl's golf team and an assistant coach for the boy's basketball team. We are both dog lovers!!! We have two dogs Sadie (Yellow Lab) and Bailey (Chihuahua).
