All About Me
Hello! My name is Lindsey McConnell. This is the start of my 7th year of teaching special education in Hopkins County and this is my second year of teaching at South Hopkins Middle School. This year, I teach 6th and 7th Reading and Language Arts and I also co-teach 6th grade Math with Mr. Killough.
During my 7 years of teaching, I have taught at all levels: my first year was at Browning Springs Middle School (6th grade), my second year was at Madisonville North Hopkins High School (freshmen and sophomores), my third, fourth, and fifth years were at South Hopkins Elementary School (3rd and 4th grade), and now I am here at SHMS.
I am currently working on obtaining my Masters Degree in Reading and Writing. I am taking two classes this semester and then I only have 2 classes left!! :)
I have a 9 year old son, Jaxon, who keeps me very busy playing football, baseball, basketball, and racing motocross. I was married on June 19, 2010 to a rekindled flame from my teenage years and now have two step-sons, Dakota-9 and Levi-5, who lived with us for a year and a half, but are currently living back in Florida with their mother. So, needless to say, I am very outnumbered in my house!
I have a dog, Saber, and two cats, Mr. Whiskers and Reece, and I would have a whole lot more animals if my husband would let me! I enjoy playing sports (especially softball), reading, and spending time with my family.
I am really looking forward to a wonderful school year with each and every one of my students!
