The winners of the Martin Luther King Jr. Essay and Visual Arts Contest were announced at the annual Hopkins County MLK Celebration Jan. 18 at Byrnes Auditorium in Madisonville. The overall winner of the Essay Contest was Zoe Long of South Hopkins Middle School. Winner of Best in Show for the Visual Arts Contest was Lucy Short of Browning Springs Middle School.
