School Talent Show Winners

Congratulations to all the participants and winners in our School Talent Show Series! All the winners qualified to advance to the District Talent Shows. The Elementary District Talent Show will be held Tuesday, April 30, and the Middle and High School District Talent Shows will be held on Thursday, May 2, all at Glema Mahr Center for the Arts in Madisonville.

High Schools

 Madisonville North Hopkins Talent Show winners

Madisonville North Hopkins High School

Markkeyce Vanlue won 1st place in the Madisonville North Hopkins High School Talent Show on Oct. 5 with a dance performance. Makayla Cummins, who gave a vocal performance, placed 2nd. The band Decision and vocalist Lasia Vanlue tied for 3rd place.

Masters of ceremonies were Krey Cunningham and Chandler Moore. Audio was by Jackie Zheng. Stage managers were Dylan Trevathan and Dom Garcia.

Hopkins County Central Talent Show winners

Hopkins County Central High School

Marissa Todd won 1st place in the Hopkins County Central High School Talent Show on Dec. 18 with a vocal performance. Ja’Kiyah Rutledge received 2nd place with her dance performance. Jontae Minor and Victoria Burford, who both gave vocal performances, tied for 3rd place.

Masters of ceremonies were Kaison Osborne and September Stewart. Stage crew was Mallory Rodgers and Lexi Wicks. Guest performers were De’Caris Logan and Ishmael Foster.

Middle Schools

South Hopkins Middle School Talent Show Winners  

South Hopkins Middle School

Alyssa Townsell won 1st place in the South Hopkins Middle School Talent Show on Nov. 20 with a vocal performance. Cami McGuire, who gave a vocal performance, received 2nd place. Will Townsell, who gave a vocal/guitar performance, placed 3rd.

Master of ceremonies was Chloe Mackey. Audio was done by Chris Manning. Stage manager was Chloe Davis. Guest performer was Vera Fischer.

James Madison Talent Show Winners

James Madison Middle School

Presley Lutz and Lauren Wooten won 1st place in the James Madison Middle School Talent Show on Dec. 7 with their dance performance. Katelyn and Justin Rodgers placed 2nd with a piano and drum performance. Emily Wilson placed 3rd with a dance performance.

Masters of ceremonies were Ali Ipock and Kaleb Ervin. Stage managers were Molly Bachman, Molly Kate Bradley, Wyatt Coleman, and JJ Brown. Guest performer was Landon Harris of Madisonville North Hopkins.

West Hopkins Middle Talent Show Winners

West Hopkins Middle School

Ethan Peyton placed 1st in the West Hopkins Middle School Talent Show on Dec. 14 with a vocal and guitar performance. Zoe Anthony, with a vocal performance, placed 2nd. Kaylee Sharpe and Karynn Scruggs, who both gave vocal performances, tied for 3rd place.

Master of ceremonies was Riley Carroll. Guest performers were Lasia Vanlue and Markkeyce Vanlue.

Browning Springs Talent Show Winners

Browning Springs Middle School

Noah Schneider won 1st place in the Browning Springs Middle School Talent Show on March 19 with a vocal and piano performance. A vocal and piano performance by Ariel Gee and Chase Brummer received 2nd place. Abigail Wheeler and Victoria Ramsey, who both gave vocal performances, tied for 3rd place.

Master of ceremonies was Ganesa Arnett. Stage crew was Micah Combs and Braiden Crabtree. Guest performers were Ja’Kiyah Rutledge and Jontae Minor.

Elementary Schools

 Jesse Stuart Talent Show Winners

Jesse Stuart Elementary School

Olivia Russell won 1st place in the Jesse Stuart Elementary School Talent Show on Oct. 26 with a dance performance. Gavin Ball, who gave a piano performance, received 2nd place. Cole Garrett placed 3rd with a vocal performance.

Masters of ceremonies were Abbie Brown and Katie Gillette. Guest performer was Sophia Myers.

Grapevine Elementary Talent Show Winners

Grapevine Elementary School

Brianna Harris won 1st place in the Grapevine Elementary School Talent Show on Nov. 19 with a dance performance. Travin Qualls, who gave a vocal performance, received 2nd place. Sadie Duncan and Erin Wilson received 3rd place for a vocal duet.

Masters of ceremonies were Sidney Crawford and Noah Florea. Guest performers were Brock Terry and Principal Steve Bauer.

Pride Elementary Talent Show Winners

Pride Elementary School

Mya Latimer won 1st place in the Pride Elementary School Talent Show on Nov. 20 with a piano/vocal performance. Canaan Weldon received 2nd place with a piano performance. Reagan Butler, who gave a vocal performance, received 3rd place.

Masters of ceremonies were Paige Brummer, Karson Starks, and Virginia Nance-Woehler. Guest performers were Mia and Alyssa Bruno.

Hanson Elementary Talent Show Winners

Hanson Elementary School

Emma Rogers won 1st place in the Hanson Elementary School Talent Show on Dec. 14 with a vocal and signing performance. Westyn Miles, who gave a piano performance, received 2nd place. Carson Smith placed 3rd with a magic act.

Masters of ceremonies were Aiden Knight and Madasyn Bennett. Guest performers were Lasia Vanlue and Markkeyce Vanlue.

West Hopkins Elementary Talent Show Winners

West Hopkins Elementary School

Savannah Jo Barnett won 1st place in the West Hopkins Elementary School Talent Show on Dec. 14 with a vocal performance. Madison Ramage, who gave a vocal performance, placed 2nd. Rose Marie Bernal received 3rd place for a mathematical mind reading performance.

Master of ceremonies was Riley Carroll. Guest performers were Lasia Vanlue and Markkeyce Vanlue.

West Broadway Elementary Talent Show Winners

West Broadway Elementary School

Stevette Combs won 1st place in the West Broadway Elementary School Talent Show on Dec. 17 with a dance performance. Abi Wood, who gave a vocal performance, received 2nd place. A dance performance by Maddy Beard, Lauren Davis, and Hayden Gamblin placed 3rd.

Master of ceremonies was Mackenzie Elkins. Guest performer was the MNHHS Color Guard.

Southside Elementary Talent Show Winners

Southside Elementary School

Kial Mitchell won 1st place in the Southside Elementary School Talent Show on Feb. 7 with a vocal performance. Jaci Childress, who performed a dance, placed 2nd. Alex Crook, who gave a drum performance, and Lynsey Menser, with a vocal performance, tied for 3rd place.

Masters of ceremonies were Jude Mitchell and Houston Stokes. The stage crew was GT Leadership students. Guest performers were the Barrel Boys (Colton Browning and Carson Mackey) and Vera Fischer.

Earlington Elementary Talent Show Winners

Bailey Stanley won 1st place in the Earlington Elementary School Talent Show on Feb. 22 with a vocal performance. Jaxon Ratliff received 2nd place with a dance performance, and Kira Scarbrough placed 3rd with a vocal performance.

Guest performer was Devin Miller.
