Vaughn Selected JSES Principal

Julie Vaughn has been selected as principal of Jesse Stuart Elementary School.

She has served as Earlington Elementary School principal for the past year. She previously was instructional leader at Grapevine Elementary School and began her education career in 2009 as a teacher at Earlington Elementary.

“I am thrilled to join the Eagle family as principal of Jesse Stuart Elementary School,” Vaughn said. “I would like to thank the JSES SBDM Council and Superintendent Amy Smith for the opportunity to serve and lead alongside the staff, students, and families of this community.

“I'm ready to hit the ground running in this new role as we work together to take school culture, academics and student/community engagement to soaring heights,” she said.

Vaughn earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Murray State University, master’s degree - teacher leader from University of the Cumberlands, and master’s degree in administration from MSU.

“Mrs. Vaughn is a teacher at heart!” Smith said. “Her passion for others is demonstrated daily and she leads by example. Mrs. Vaughn’s administrative experience will help her transition into her new role as Jesse Stuart’s principal.”
