Updated Information on Covid-19 Quarantine, Isolation Requirements
If your child tests positive for Covid-19 on a home test, they need to follow that up with a medical test. You may contact your school nurse to schedule this. We will receive results quicker from the school nurse than from an outside medical facility.
If your child has been exposed, you may report the exposure to the school district using the following form: https://forms.gle/ZoLyz5eF2x6V2B5Y7. We can report this to the Health Department for you.
As a reminder, any child who is quarantined due to exposure who is asymptomatic and does not have a positive household contact may participate in the Ethos Test to Stay Program. Parental consent is required.
Beginning at 7 a.m. each weekday that we have in-person school, Ethos Collectors are at Browning Springs Middle School, James Madison Middle School, South Hopkins Middle School, West Hopkins School, Hopkins County Central High School, and Madisonville North Hopkins High School.
Parents may take their child to any of these locations for testing prior to the start of the school day. Participants should not ride the bus. As a reminder, Test to Stay involves committing to testing for five school days. Parents may give consent for their child to participate at http://www.ethosbacktoschool.com/.
Students who are considered close contacts will be tested for five consecutive school days or until the quarantine order is lifted whichever comes first. At the end of five days or end of quarantine period (whichever comes first), students will be released from “Test to Stay” procedures.
Please note that the Test to Stay Program is not for fully vaccinated students, who the Health Department does not require to quarantine.
Our school nurses will still be available to test symptomatic students (regardless of vaccination status) and/or students who wish to use the early test option rather than Test to Stay. Please call your school to arrange for testing.
