About Us
Hopkins County Schools serves more than 6,200 students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The district has six elementary schools, three middle schools, one P-8 school, two high schools, a career and technology center, and two nontraditional programs. We also offer a blended KERA preschool/Head Start program.

 - Each school has a Mental Health Counselor on staff to provide needed assistance to kids.
 - Each of our school campuses has a School Resource Officer as part of our emphasis on safety.
 - Family Resource Youth Services Centers help families prepare our students to learn.
 - We offer a wide range of extracurricular activities including sports, the arts, band, and clubs that promote leadership.
 - HCS offers high-quality early childhood education to 3- and 4-year-old children. Qualifying children may attend free based on income or disability, and all children can attend via affordable monthly tuition. All of our preschool classrooms are Kentucky All Star 5-Star Rated.
 - District cafeterias served an average of 2,154 breakfasts and 4,039 lunches daily during 2024-2025. All students can eat free through the CEP program.
